  3. Taxable income: Verify that the total taxable income mentioned in Form 16 aligns with your salary and other income sources. It should consider deductions under sections 80C, 80D, etc., as applicable.
  4. TDS details: Look for the TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) information in Form 16. It should include the amount of tax deducted by your employer throughout the year and deposited with the government.
  5. TAN and TDS certificate number: Ensure that your employer’s Tax Deduction Account Number (TAN) and the TDS certificate number are mentioned on Form 16. These details are essential when filing your tax return.
